Oddments is a small editorial project covering vintage and second-hand goods across three publications: Oddments Audio, Oddments Computing, and Oddments Cameras. The project earns commission from qualifying purchases made through links on this website and across its Pinterest publications.
The plain version
When we link to a product, that link is usually an affiliate link. If you click it and end up buying something, the seller pays Oddments a small commission. This costs you nothing extra. The price you see is the price you pay.
Commission rates vary by seller and by product category. They are typically in the range of two to ten per cent of the sale price.
Editorial independence
Affiliate relationships do not influence what we choose to feature. Items are selected on the basis of editorial interest, condition, and listing quality. We do not accept payment to feature specific items, and no advertiser sees our editorial calendar before publication.
If an item we feature is no longer available, the listing is removed or replaced as quickly as our checks identify it. We do not knowingly leave broken links live.
Where you will see disclosures
Every pin on every Oddments Pinterest publication carries the disclosure within the first three lines of its description, alongside the hashtag #ad. The disclosure is repeated on this website wherever affiliate links appear.
The legal version
Oddments complies with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255) and the United Kingdom's Committee of Advertising Practice Code (CAP Code).
Affiliate programmes Oddments participates in include, where applicable, the eBay Partner Network, the Awin publisher network, and Pinterest's own partner programmes. Programme participation is updated as relationships are added or removed.
